Irving has more than 25 years of public sector experience including responsibilities in the areas of business development, housing finance, community and economic development, operations management, and human services.

Prior to joining Avion Systems in 2003, Irving was the Director of Business Development for the Governor of the State of Georgia. He has previously served as the Director of Housing Services for the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority, Deputy Director of the Georgia Residential Finance Authority, Assistant to the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Human Resources, and operations Manager for the 1988 Democratic Convention. Irving has also focused on community volunteerism as a Chairman of the Board of both the DeKalb Housing Counseling Center and Canterbury Affordable Housing, Inc.

Irving holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College and a Masters of Science in Urban Administration from Georgia State University.
